The “Chiikawa Pocket” app is the official smartphone app of the popular manga “Chiikawa” by Nagano.

You can pay for three things in “Chiikawa Pocket“: the “monthly pass”, the “season pass”, and “costumes for the Chiikawa characters”.
There’s a “gacha” where you can get the weapons you need for battles, but you can also get the gems you need for the gacha by playing the game, so it’s not a good idea to spend money on gems.
It’s best to only make purchases if you want items at a good value or if you really want to get your favorite character’s costume.

Game Modes and How to Play “Chiikawa Pocket”
“Chiikawa Pocket” is a game app for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices. It offers four main game modes.
It has more content than expected and is known for being “very satisfying to play“.
Game Mode 1: Battle
The main part of the smartphone game app “Chiikawa Pocket” is the “Battle Mode“.
You join forces with “Chiikawa characters” and defeat enemies to move through different levels.
Battle is basically automatic, but you have to “strengthen the various stats” of the Chiikawa characters manually.
At first, it may seem like just a fun game, but there’s a strategy element where you need to watch the progress and strengthen the stats that matter.

You can also activate the character’s “special skill” by tapping the “face icon“.
When you activate a “special skill”, the Chiikawa characters unleash powerful attacks, so it’s good to use them at the right time. However, you can also set these skills to activate automatically. This allows you to progress through subjugation without having to use your hands.
You can choose to play automatically or manually. It’s up to you!
This process of being controlled automatically continues as long as “Chiikawa Pocket” is running, even if you are playing other content like Home or Grass-Clearing.
If your HP drops to zero, you lose, but you automatically return to the previous stage and subjugation restarts. This means you won’t find that your subjugation ended without noticing.
Game Mode 2: Home
The second game mode in the “Chiikawa Pocket” smartphone game app is “Home“.
In “Home Mode“, you can “arrange furniture” in a given “miniature garden” and “observe the Chiikawa characters“.
There are two maps, one indoor and one outdoor, and you can decorate each however you like.
There are many different furniture items, from those that will make fans of the original work happy to seasonal items that evoke the time of year. This allows you to create the “Chiikawa world” you envision.
However, it’s not just a way to watch Chiikawa. “Collecting and arranging furniture also gives you bonuses that make you stronger in Subjugation“, so you can enjoy redecorating your miniature garden while also getting bonuses in Subjugation mode.
Game Mode 3: Weeding
When it comes to “Chiikawa”, you can’t forget the “Weeding Certification“. The “Chiikawa Pocket” game app recreates this faithfully.
“Weeding Mode” is a mini-game where you move down the screen by weeding grass (blocks).
This mode is different from the others because it uses a “stamina system“. When you pull a block of grass, you use some of your “Hearts” (energy). Your “Hearts” recovers over time.
As you complete tasks, you’ll unlock new levels, helping you progress through the game more quickly. So, it’s a good idea to “remember to do weeding whenever your Hearts has accumulated“.
You can also get items by weeding grass.
If you use the items you get from weeding grass, you can make your attack power and health stronger in Battle Mode.
Sometimes, items are already visible on the field as you move, so you have to decide whether to “take a detour with your limited Hearts to get the item” or “aim for the shortest route.” It’s up to the player’s strategy.
Game Mode 4: Om Num Fest
The fourth game mode in the “Chiikawa Pocket” game app is the “Om Num Fest“.
The “Om Num Fest” is also an “idle-type content” similar to Battle Mode.
At the festival, the Chiikawa characters set up their own shops. As you play, you’ll earn “Cooking Coins” and “Fest Rank Rewards“.
The coins and points you collect can be exchanged for various rewards. Depending on your progress, they will also “strengthen your Subjugation Mode”.
