Can you go to the Osaka Expo venue by car?

General visitors cannot drive directly into “Yumeshima”, the venue of the “EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan“.
Officially, to ease traffic congestion and consider the environment, “public transportation is recommended“.

Point 1: Advance Reservation by the Day Before is Required
A key point to know about the “Expo P&R (Park and Ride) Parking Lot” is that you must reserve a spot in advance. Remember this.

How much is the parking fee for a regular private car?
To use the “general parking lot (Expo P&R parking lot)” for EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, you need to pay a basic fee of 5,000 to 5,500 yen. You will also need to pay an additional fee of up to 2,000 yen. This extra fee depends on things like traffic, the time of day, and the route you take to get there.
The lowest fee is 5,000 yen, and the highest is 7,500 yen.

How much is the parking fee for the Yumeshima Accessible Parking Lot?
The parking fee for the “Yumeshima Accessible Parking Lot” is 2,250 to 3,250 yen. This lot is for people with physical disabilities or those using wheelchairs. It is located next to the Expo venue (East Entrance Plaza).

Some people say that the parking fee at the Osaka Expo is expensive, but the cost is different for different types of visitors. This may be to avoid too many people at one time.
How much is the parking fee for motorcycles and bicycles?
Motorcycles and bicycles can also use the Expo P&R parking lots.
However, please note that there are parking spaces for “motorcycles” and “bicycles” only at Maishima.
For motorcycles, the basic fee is 2,000 yen, with an additional fee of 200–400 yen. The total parking fee will be between 2,000 yen and 2,400 yen. The fee for bicycles is a flat 500 yen.
