How to buy and purchase tickets for Expo 2025 Osaka?

There are two ways to buy and purchase tickets for Expo 2025 Osaka.
The first is to “purchase a digital ticket with a QR code“, and the second is to “purchase a paper ticket“.
1. For “Digital Tickets”
When buying a QR code-based “digital ticket“, use the official Osaka Expo ticket purchase site, “EXPO2025 Digital Ticket“.
The process is easy: create an “ExpoID” account and purchase your ticket.
Step 1: Register an “ExpoID”
First, register an ExpoID from the ExpoID registration site.
Click the “New Registration Here” button and agree to the terms of use.
Enter your email address and click “Send Email.” You will receive a verification email. Click the “authentication URL” inside to complete temporary registration.

Once temporary registration is complete, the “New Registration” screen will appear. You can also link your social media accounts (e.g., LINE, X (Twitter), Facebook, or Google) to your ExpoID registration. If you want to link your ExpoID with an SNS account, follow the steps after clicking the corresponding SNS button.
Step 2: Log in to the Ticket Purchase Site with your ExpoID
After registering your ExpoID, log in to the EXPO2025 ticket purchase site.
Once logged in:
● Choose the ticket type and quantity, then purchase the tickets.
● If you already know the date and time of your visit, it’s a good idea to reserve them in advance.
● You can change your reservation up to 3 times (both date and time).
Important Note:When purchasing tickets, you must select an entrance gate based on your transportation method:
● East Gate – For people using the Osaka Metro or bicycle.
● West Gate – For taxi or shuttle bus users.
● If you need disabled parking, enter via the East Gate.

2. For “Paper Tickets”
We’ve already talked about buying digital tickets, but you can also buy paper tickets for Expo 2025 Osaka at convenience stores or travel agencies.
You can buy Expo tickets at familiar convenience stores like:
● 7-Eleven
● Lawson
● FamilyMart
● MINISTOP
If you’re not sure about digital tickets, paper tickets might be a good choice.
● Convenience stores sell “Ticket Exchange Vouchers“, not direct-entry tickets.
● Before entering the Expo venue, you must exchange these vouchers for QR-code tickets at the “Gate Ticket Exchange Counter” on-site.
Exceptions:
・Some paper tickets purchased through travel agencies or corporate partners come as “Date/Time-Specified Tickets (with QR code),” which allow direct entry.
・However, convenience stores only sell exchange vouchers. For entry, you must convert the QR code.
While paper tickets require extra steps compared to digital ones, they’re ideal for:
● Gifting
● Souvenirs

How many tickets can one person buy for Expo 2025 Osaka?

There are limits on the number of tickets that can be purchased at once:
● Up to 14 tickets per purchase.
● If you need more than 14 tickets, you’ll need to make more than one purchase.

1. Advance Ticket
While there are multi-entry passes for Expo 2025 Osaka, the most common option is the one-time admission ticket.
The price depends on when you buy it:

The 2025 Japan International Exposition (EXPO2025 Osaka, Kansai Expo) also offers “Multiple-Entry Passes“. These passes allow you to visit as many times as you want during certain times.
There is a special “Summer Pass” available exclusively for the summer vacation period (July 19–August 31, 2025). If you plan to visit the Expo more than once, these passes are worth considering.

3. Special Ticket
The 2025 Japan International Exposition (EXPO2025 Osaka, Kansai Expo) also offers “Special Discount Tickets” for individuals with a disability certificate.

Buy Your Expo 2025 Osaka Tickets Early
As explained, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai offers both digital tickets that are scanned with a QR code and paper tickets. Each type of ticket can be purchased in a different way.
