Reservations for the Pokémon Café can be made on the official website from 6:00 pm, 31 days prior to the desired date of use.

For example, if you want to make a reservation for August 18th, you can make a reservation from 6:00 pm on July 18th.

However, the site is so popular that reservations tend to fill up within a minute or two after the reservation start time of 6:00 pm.

Tips for making reservations at the Pokémon Café

As mentioned above, Pokémon Café is so popular that it is difficult to make a reservation, but there are some tips for making a reservation.

Tip 1: Open the website a little before 6:00 pm, the time when reservation acceptance starts

Even if you access the official website at exactly 6:00 pm, the time when reservations open for the Pokémon Café, it will fill up quickly, so first, open the official website early, such as 10 minutes before, and stand by to make a reservation immediately.

Tip 2: The reservations page may become harder to connect during the reservation acceptance window

At 6:00 pm, the time when reservations are opened, access to the official reservation site may be concentrated, making it difficult to connect to the site.

If you have trouble connecting, please reload the site. To reload, press the F5 function key on your computer, or use Ctrl+R or Command+R.

Tip 3: Reservations are easier to make on weekdays

It tends to be easier to make reservations at Pokémon Café on weekdays than on weekends. In Japan, many people are off on weekends, so if you want to increase your chances of getting a reservation, try to make a reservation on a weekday.

Tip 4: You will have a better chance of making a reservation for 1 or 2 people

Pokémon Café has various types of seating, divided into A, B, C, and D.

At the Nihonbashi location in Tokyo, A to C are table seats and can be reserved for 2 to 6 people, while D seats are counter seats and can be reserved for 1 to 2 people.

At the Shinsaibashi location in Osaka, A to B are table seats and can be reserved for 2 to 6 persons, and C seats are counter and table seats and can be reserved for 1 to 6 persons.

Since few families reserve counter seating, counter seating increases the probability of getting a reservation.

Can I enter the restaurant on the same day by waiting for a cancellation?

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, Pokémon Café is basically not available without a reservation, but if there is a same-day cancellation, you can make a last-minute reservation at the store.

It is said that there are almost no same-day cancellations on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you are aiming for a same-day cancellation slot, weekdays are the best time to go for it.
You can apply for a same-day cancellation notice at the storefront right away.

However, there are many days when there are no same-day cancellations, so if by any chance you are able to use the same-day cancellation slot, you will be lucky.

Take-outs can be purchased at the Picachu Sweets store without reservation

If you can't get a reservation at Pokémon Café, we recommend you to visit Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café, a take-out store of Pokémon Sweets that does not require a reservation.

Located in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, you can purchase Pikachu-shaped waffles called Pokéfrills, cute Pikachu plush toys with Pikachu Sweets specifications, and more.

There are also many stores in Ikebukuro where you can purchase anime goods, such as animate, so if you are interested in Pikachu Sweets, please visit there.
